History of Midtown OKC

For years, the enchanting avenues of Midtown lay dormant. Plagued by a lagging economy and the oil bust of the 1980's, the heart of Oklahoma City became a virtual ghost town. But since the mid-1990s, a series of public and private investments has transformed Midtown into an oasis of urban development.

A Start

First, there was MAPS. In just 11 years, taxpayers invested more than $300 million in cultural, recreational, and entertainment upgrades to the adjacent Downtown district. Private investors followed suit, and the face of Oklahoma City changed virtually overnight. Then came the Bio Medical Research Corridor. As the city transformed, large bio-tech firms began relocating to the east side of Midtown. A $100 million facelift to St. Anthony Hospital, located in the heart of Midtown, gave a welcome boost to the area image.

Our Approach

Capitalizing on the historic renaissance, Midtown Renaissance (a REHCO Company) offers historic, architecturally unique properties to businesses and residents relocating to Midtown. Our fully refurbished, fully remodeled properties are home to offices, restaurants, retail and residential living space. Located in the heart of Midtown's entertainment and restaurant district, our properties offer chic urban living and upscale amenities for a variety of businesses.

We Have a Vision

Everyday, we work to continue the revitalization of the Midtown area with the same passion we began with years ago. We are striving to create a self-sustainable neighborhood in a clean, friendly, urban area. A place where going to your job, enjoying bars and restaurants, or relaxing at the park are all in close proximity to your urban home.
